Mesh element for furnaces

Known for its high melting point, refractory metal tungsten is widely used in manufacturing high temperature furnace elements, insulations screens and furnace furniture. As compare to other refractory metals such as molybdenum, tungsten elements can serve up to 2800oC or 5070oF in vacuum conditions.

Refractory metals are those that have melting points higher than 2000oC or 3630oF such as tungsten, molybdenum, niobium etc that are widely used in the furnace industry. Their applications are in protective atmosphere or vacuum conditions there they are used for induction heating elements, radiation screens, furnace furniture like supports. They have supreme electrical characteristics and a high vapour pressure making them fit for a wide range of applications for example annealing, sintering, melting as well as brazing. As they have low electrical resistance, refractory metal elements serving in high current and low voltage conditions.

Tungsten is used for furnace interior development as resistance heating element screens and shields. It is also used in racks, skids and boats that are used for material processing for example sintering, powder reduction, annealing and vacuum brazing.

Characteristics of tungsten mesh elements good electrical properties, low vapour pressures, low electrical resistivity and low heat capacity. These characteristics make tungsten fit for furnaces with low thermal mass to quick heat up and cooling. Energy savings result as heat is not wasted heating up masses of refractory insulating material. Tungsten also offers good resistance to molten glass and quartz therefore used for mandrels and electrodes in the melting procedures.

While using tungsten for furnace applications, its service conditions and mesh properties are also considered. Tungsten is the most difficult metal to be fabricated by conventional methods. It is used in very high temperature applications up to 2800oC or 5070oF in high vacuum or protective reducing conditions. In these high temperature conditions, insulation of the hot region is an issue and it is common to use tungsten in high vacuum or low partial pressure of hydrogen.

Tungsten mesh in portable furnace

A portable heater brings the revolutionary radiant performance of its fixed gas counterpart o a designed portable platform. It uses directional heating to uniformly, efficiently and effectively service to an area it is wheeled.

Characteristics

High performance mesh screen

Unique performance of tungsten wire mesh screen offers supreme distribution of heat.

Outstanding wind resistance

Tungsten mesh screen offers significant wind resistance when combined with double thermocouples performing consistently in winds of about 12 km/h.

Efficiency

Slow release ceramic burners consistently burn gas to fuel, a very environment friendly gas fired heating method used.

Potential and direct heating

Strong radiant heat output with heater head adjustment for great positioning flexibility.

Mesh element for EMI

Monel is an all purpose nickel-copper alloy offering oxidation has excellent EMI characteristics and good mechanical strength and resiliency. In protected environments, Monel wire mesh corrosion resistance properties are significant. For low to high frequency magnetic field shielding, gaskets are preferably made from Monel mesh. It also offers best corrosion resistance in salt spray conditions where corrosion occurs.

Although EMI mesh can be made from any metal but the excellent shielding properties are offered by Monel.

Decorative Mesh

Wire mesh from coarse to fine apertures offer fabricated in customized range for offering high durability, good performance and corrosion resistance. The functional benefits of decorative wire mesh with aesthetic characteristics are much more versatile than you may think. The new perspective in creative design introduces the fascinating architectural world.

Decorative wire mesh in different finishes is widely used in architectural projects to offer rigidity and durability as the original characteristics of the materials. The smooth surfaces of mesh offer safety and protection for various applications such as decoration screen, roofing, barrier, fencing, cladding and sunshield.
